They performed four favourite fairy tales: The Three Little Pigs, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Little Red Riding Hood. Some of the children, and one lucky teacher, even starred in the show!

Following on from this, Reception created their own Little Red Riding Hood stories with alternative endings and the children made their own story maps. They also practised  addition skills by adding together the items in Little Red Riding Hood’s basket. Next, they learnt about adjectives to describe the Three Billy Goats Gruff and the troll. Slimy, hairy, stinky, unkind and brave were some of the words the children came up with! To finish the topic, the children are looking forward to a fairy tale ball coming dressed as their favourite character!
